Not sure why Chongkho isn?t one of those everyone knows and loves it ?hidden gem? restaurants. Their food is so good. A visit to Brooklyn without Chongkho would be incomplete. A visit to Chongkho without their curry puffs would be incomplete. Theircurry puffs are wonderful. Shatteringly crispy and generously filled. The sauce that accompanies is addictive as well. I poureda generous amount of the sauce with each bite of the curry puffs and had a little left over to drink. We also ordered the greencurry which has the most wonderful flavor. I haven?t tried their other curries, but if they?re anything like the green curry, they must be wonderful choices. Go with the green curry if your indecisive! I ended up straight up sipping the the broth becauseit was that good. We ordered the thai salad, but it could honestly be skipped. It?s just raw veggies with peanut sauce whichisn?t bad, just not great. The vegetables themselves were crisp and fresh though! and the fried tofu soaks up the curryperfectly. Of course their rice is cooked perfectly.

First off I'll definitely be back to try more menu items as I can sense it could be hit or miss depending on what you get. That being said, for Pan Asian food, Luanne's Wild Ginger (4 locations, mostly in Brooklyn) is wayy better. I shared a seitan skewer appetizer and it was good but not exactly what I expected (it said satay sauce but it wasn't exactly that). I also got the udon stir fry and it was just ok. The browned tofu wasn't really even cooked, it was just thrown on there, also the sauce was just fine. Nothing spectacular. Thai iced teas were yummy and service was great. That being said it was nothing mind blowing and while I won't be running back, I'll definitely give it another chance and try something completely different. It's a great option if youre in the area, still not any other vegan restaurants in Astoria yet (kinda shocking tbh). Updated from previous review on 2021 12 26

Super beautiful family that owns the place, and the food is so good! Try the salt and pepper mushrooms. Updated by previous rating on 2022-07-05

Wife and I had the Grandmakase menu and it was excellent. The cuts were so varied that you can clean the palate with some ginger between pieces so you can really enjoy. The minimalist Garnishes worked to improve the flavors, unlike hide them (as some sushi spots do). We did not even reach the soy sauce, so you know that the taste and taste of the cuts was on point. The cocktails were good when a little underwhelmed. They made about two stronger on request without additional costs. The Omakase Desert was a homemade sesame flavored ice cream. Was not sure what to do first, but it was delicious. All in all a great meal and a wonderful night out. Very recommended!

Juicy cube offers ready-made juices, acai dishes, smoothies and the like. some smoothies use whey protein, one of their heel flakes used yogurt, and they offer some non-vegan protein bars. most of the items sold here are vegan, and everything is vegetarian. there are some functional benches where they can sit and eat or drink their wars, but no tables - this is first line a meeting point.
