We didn't want an aperitif, nor wine (due to driving) so the host immediately brought over a caraffe of water. The food was delicious I had a vegetable pasta while my partner had a lasagne, followed by raspberry panacotta and creme brulee! We've already recommended it to friends who travel down to Provence on a regular basis

This is a shame as generally when you go out, it's special and you want to eat at the same time and not sit and wait while the other person eats. You would think this would be an obvious thing to do when working in the cafe/restaurant industry.

We agree, it is a great restaurant, tucked away in behind the busy casino area. Our friends had a booked one of the cosy booths for the meal, which also gave a sense of privacy, as we chatted away over our meals. Very generous pizzas were enjoyed by our friends, whilst my husband had a chicken risotto. He is still raving about it and I had an Indian styled vegetable curry...very nice. We also both enjoyed one of their desserts...an apple, biscuit and crumbled vanilla ice cream and one of our friends had the Affagato with Kailua. We were all very pleased with our choices. Beers and wines were ordered from their good drinks menu. Urbon is a very pleasant place to have a meal and I look forward to eating in their pretty courtyard area, once the weather is a little warmer :

Whilst this cafe is very basic in furnishing, the quality, quantity and price of the meals more than compensates. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. We had their breakfast menu items, I can thoroughly recommend their eggs benedict with smoked salmon. My hubby had the medium breakfast, he couldn't finish it, much to his disappointment there was just so much to eat. The coffee is hot and delicious, the tea well presented with premium tea bags and separate milk. Next time we visit Melbourne we will certainly return.
