18.09.2023 - 06:20Haven't been to this place in so long since the pandemic started. I decided to stop by the other day and I see management and workers changed. It's a whole different crew. The food is ok.

17.09.2023 - 11:55Went in thinking this place offered good value for money. Had the mixed grill of meat for Euro 23.90 and a jug of Sangria for Euro 18. The dish included a plate of fries and a plate of rice. The grill had four chicken drumsticks around 4 pieces of spare ribs, 4 sausages, some pieces of gammon and quite a few pieces of beef. The only problem was all the meat tasted as if it had been cooked and reheated various times which gave it a dark brown colour and an oily wooden-like texture. Ate everything as we were hungry, but would definitely not return. Everyone else in the place seemed to be eating a buffet which we never saw on the menu and foolishly did not inquire about.

15.09.2023 - 06:04We stayed in Mestre and visited Caffe Concerto, having booked. The restaurant is off the beaten track in a residential area. The setting is wonderful, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The menu is amazing my partner and I opted for seafood, salmon and shellfish salad, and weren’t disappointed. The main courses were exceptional. For dessert my partner chose fragolata, which almost looked too good to eat, and I opted for mille feuille, equally delicious. The Aperol spritz went down very easily, and the house amaro is a joy. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant highly enough.

14.09.2023 - 08:43Spent four nights as a break from sh*t British weather, heard about this bar from friends who had visited and everything I was told was true, Dave Julie very hospitable, friendly and not to much trouble, Tracy who works there pretty competent too. Locals are friendly and this place really could not be more welcoming.

12.09.2023 - 14:54The drinks were okay, but the lunch was great. Tacos were very flavorful. The service was pretty good. I’d recommend this location to others!

12.09.2023 - 11:29Called by for Lunch on a Sunday. There were 8 of us, and a table was quickly found. The service was friendly, food was excellent, comfort was acceptable, and the price really good. I had their €17 3 course set Lunch, and choose the cold meats to start and the Paella to follow, both courses were a good plateful and top notch quality. Okay, the service while pleasant was a shade slow, but in relation to the number of people turning up for Lunch, the waiting times were acceptable, far better than over the border back in france, and all in all, an excellent time was had.

12.09.2023 - 08:54We stopped for Lunch and had an excellant meal. We had the €18.50 set meal which was superbly cooked, all fresh ingredients, and reasonable portion size. Our main course of Duck was faultless. That said I have to say that the place is very dated and could do with a complete make over, equally the guy running it was on his own and doing all the duties/work, hence on a busy day there could be a long wait. All in all a very good Lunch and well worth visiting again..

09.09.2023 - 05:21*DISCLAIMER!*This place is as authentic as it gets, it’s grimy looking but in the correct ways. They are very sanitary but the location is old so let your tastebuds do the judging not your eyes! Now that that’s out of the way let’s get down to brass tax. As a Filipino American i do not say this lightly I sampled everything (sadly there were not as many options as I’d like) now everything I tried was authentic as can be, every dish reminded me of either my mom’s, auntie’s, or grandma’s recipes. The adobo even rivaled my own.. the dinaguan was the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant, the pancit was A+ all in all if you’re a true foodie and not an IG “foodie” this is the cheat code to experiencing traditional pinoy foods.
