Went to chippy Wednesday night and ordered missing cod and chips was told woukd have to pay for chips which is disgusting as this was not my fault i was then accused of lying by the manager in front of a shop full of customers disgusting customer service as we have been regular customers over many years i suggest the manager needs to be taught customer service skills as he has none will not be going back there again the lady on the counter was lovely i will be writing to head office

After our walk it was lunchtime and we w... leer más Visited on a rainy cold Sunday in February with my 80yr old mother and our small dog to have a quick walk in the woods. After our walk it was lunchtime and we wanted to eat. My mother sat in the cafe while I cleaned down the dog in the car park and then returned to join her to order our lunch. When I returned, after a few minutes, we had decided what we would order and the first words I heard from an approaching lady were 'NO DOGS ALLOWED! ', I have to say I did question her as I was astonished and hadn 't seen any signs, no alternatives were given no suggestions and certainly no apology, we were asked to leave the cafe. Which we did as we were glared at from the kitchen while my mother gathered her things. The Cafe was quiet with a table of 4 and a table of 2, so plenty of room to keep away from other people. Our dog is small and well behaved and as the woods are predominantly used by dog walkers I was astonished that the cafe was not dog friendly at all. For a small family run cafe turning away business seems counterproductive.

Service was generally good though we were kept waiting for well over 5 minutes before our order was taken. This, and the rather expensive prices, mean I'm giving it 4 rather than 5 stars, but it still stands out a mile from the boring chains.
