A good experience, if not a good reason! We had heard of this F&C place and wanted to check it out, Judy had haddock and chips, while I had cod and chips. You can upgrade to include scallops and shrimp, which we both had and enjoyed. The servings were very generous, as a result Judy had to leave some of the fish, although the server was willing to package it up and send it home with us. Desert was rice pudding for Judy and trifle for me. Since this restaurant has Scottish origins, we were disappointed there was no sticky toffee pudding for desert. Wine and beer is available, but sadly cider was missing from the bar. Prices were reasonable and service was excellent. An interesting addition is a children's play area and library, a nice touch for family dining. We plan to go again.
