"We were visiting the district, and were steered here by the advisors of trip. The restaurant is in what appears to be an old crossroads inn, tastefully decorated and furnished to retain elements of its rustic origins. Our Indian dishes were just the right degree of spicy, and both delicious. They were also quite substantial, contrary to other reports here -- a fair bit more than what I'd expect if ordering organic in Toronto or Montreal.We ought to have been more self-disciplined but couldn't resist trying a dessert: the apple crisp was excellent, very cinnamon-y. The service was friendly, helpful, and on a relaxed pace, as befits the country crossroads setting, and the care that is clearly put into the food. We both agreed that we will seek out Vidya's when next travelling in that district.(PS: This restaurant is associated with a yoga retreat nearby. I would consider attending if it meant getting to eat at the restaurant regularly!)"

"Been way too long since we ate here. My husband and I both got the breaded Haddock and fries,..however he got the extra piece of fish as well. I received 2 nice sized oblong pieces of fish breaded in a very nice crispy (panko type) of breading. My plate was overflowing with fries and a small container of coleslaw as well. What a wonderful meal,..and my husband said the same of his 3 huge pieces. The fish was very tasty,..not dry at all and not greasy one little bit. Our fries were sort of home cut fries,..and went well with the gravy. They were served piping hot and fresh. Our server Sam was super,...not a single complaint here,.other than we should have not taken so long to return. A very nice meal for $58 with a couple of beer each,..well worth it indeed."
