We normally eat at one of the other seafront restaurants on the same stretch of beach but thought we'd give Le Trident a try seeing as they had moules frites on their menu (which was obviously considered too basic for the swanky neighbouring eateries) but just what I fancied for a light lunch today. My wife chose the grilled Salmon fillet. All washed down with a great bottle of Sancerre. Verdict: Perfectly cooked and superb ingredients - equally as good as the slightly more expensive neighbours. We will be back.
Well. How can I start.... -1 The guys are awesome, professional, and efficient (compare with awful other beach clubs on left side ) No the French are not rude they proved it -2. The food is amazing.....for a beach club I mean. But excellent Fresh big and well made -3. The location is great. Definitely the place to be. A 4-5 stars would be right. I just recommend this place.LAURENT.
Been coming here now for the second year and you can't beat their Moulles Friet and a bottle of chilled La Crotes rose which all in all is not going to break the bank. They also do great deserts and if you do fancy a swim or need a nap after all the food get yourself a lounger out on the deck. Will definitely come back next year!
My wife and I were strolling thru the boardwalk, btw, Juan-les-Pins is a beautiful town, there were so many options on the beach, when we decided to have dinner, most of them had closed, I assumed since it is not season yet, but that was strange in my opinion. Beach dining at night is a winner, anyway, we chose Trident by elimination, what a great finding. I have read reviews that they are slow, honestly, we have to forget of the american way where you time everything. Relax and enjoy the experience. We had no problem getting our bottle of wine quick, and yes for american standards, they take their time to ask you what do you want to eat. I had the mussels and my wife the local fish, the food was very good, but what made it special, was seating on the sand barefoot, good music, weather and of course Rose wine. The service was friendlier than usual, it helps to practice your French, although everybody speaks English. The price, cheap for the Riviera, 2 bottles of wine, mussels, fish, 56 Euros. I highly recommend, and I hope I would repeat.
