The George - Ashford

This restaurant is a charming place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The outdoor garden is excellent with a variety of games to choose from. I will definitely be returning soon!

I highly recommend visiting this fantastic local pub. It has been recently renovated and its garden is beautiful with new furniture and plenty of space. Inside, there is a pool table and a cozy wood burner. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the beer is very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning!

After a recent renovation, The George in Bethersden has reopened as a community pub and cafe, and it is definitely worth a visit. The manager and bar staff are friendly, providing excellent service in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Families are encouraged to visit, and we enjoyed the garden and BBQ during our time there. My family and I will definitely be back, possibly for one of the special events that were being advertised. While the kitchen is currently closed, there is a partnership with a local company to offer food on select evenings, and I was informed that the kitchen should be reopening soon after updates are completed.

Went for lunch at the George. One of the best lasagna , chips and salad, that I’ve had in a long time. Delicious. Would highly recommend a visit. Time and much thought has gone into the Covid signs. I felt very comfortable.

Yet another fab take out , one of many over and since lockdown, burgers and I had steak , even after it sitting for half hour or so while we finished our drinks it was just perfect, lovey bit of rare steak
