The food is very good and authentic. I can't wait to go back. I only wish I lived closer so I could go more often. The skinny margarita was delicious.
My family enjoys every excuse to go to Tlaloc, and I hadn’t even realize my original review for them never posted. I’m posting pictures from a dine-in experience a month ago and a to-go experience this week. You’ll notice an abundance of chimichangas. Pork is my favorite, but the steak is also well done. I usually go with a shrimp dish, so I like the quesadilla, the cocktail, and the seafood fajitas, which also include squid and fish. Unlimited horchatas is certainly a way to my heart as well. My kids tend to eat the basic quesadilla and fries. There are so, so many things on the menu though that it can definitely be overwhelming. Go anyways. Look at pictures. Ask for recommendations. They are also almost always packed, but we have always been able to find parking, even at the far end of their side gravel lot. I recommend trying them out. Always a good time.
I loved the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. They offered an impressive selection of dishes. The Caribbean Fajitas were loaded with fresh seafood—definitely a must-try!
The homemade corn tortillas elevate everything to a whole new level! This place is a must-visit if you're looking to add a restaurant to your weekly rotation. During my two years living in Athens, I came here many times.
