The Bailey - Athlone

Big servings and great service. The food was delicious, the Guinness was going down easily. We would recommend the battered fish (kids menu) and the roast beef (it was a daily special).

After a very long day of travel and a visit to Newgrange, my family arrived to Baileys. We were greeted by Nathan and quickly checked in. Omar helped up up to our rooms and we all got settled after a long day of travel and driving in a new country. We came down for dinner and were again helped by Omar and Nathan. Dinner was lovely! The following afternoon we stopped by the pub for a quick pint and chat. Ray and Nathan were both working and hand wonderful recommendations for our onward travel up to Galway and Connamara. Baileys was the perfect place to stop on our first night in Ireland the warm welcome and helpful staff set us up for a wonderful trip!

What an incredible afternoon at Baileys. As a group of six Australian seniors currently touring Ireland, the service by Shannon, Ray, Nathan and others was another example of brilliant Irish hospitality. If you ever visit Athlone, be sure to visit Baileys Pub for drinks, great food and even a B&B if needed. Thank you for such a memorable time.

Booked a table for a friends reunion for some food and drinks. I was told that inside was full and would the beer garden be acceptable for a table , I was pleasantly surprised when I got out there as it was very warm with a very nice d for but mainly clean. We opted for food platters as we weren't too hungry but wanted something to pick on as watched the match. The girl who was looked after us Shannon was very accommodating and made sure that very need was met. As the party went on late we enquired about a bedroom to stay the night. Which was great. Rooms were very clean and had all the basic necessities required. Location was central to athlone town and everything was within walking distance Overall very happy would recommend

Where do I begin, we rocked up without a booking on what seemed like a busy Saturday night, staff were very accommodating and were able to find us a table in the private room. Menu had something for everyone, I got the Texan burger and my wife got the cottage pie. The burger was delicious, full of flavour, and the serving sizes were generous.
