Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe went to the 9th anniversary! The ambience was great. The service was enormous and professional. The selection of bread and wine was great. My husband had the maple duck and it was the amazing, delicate and tasteful! I had the rabbit and it was meh... the flowerflower risotto was tasteful, but the rabbit was dry. That was disappointing.
Menu was not as diverse or robust as I would have expected from this restaurant; nothing really remarkable, although the food was good. For example, instead of just bacon and eggs, with Bourbon bacon or maple bacon would have available things on a notch. Pancake with fruit butter or whipped cream cheese or even goat cheese would have been nice. The menu was a bit pale. No readiness. Ambience and service were both charming; beautiful views of the river. Cocktails were good, but again would have appreciated more variety.
The meal was good. It was usually well prepared. But in the past the goat's cheese does not smell like a barnyard, and on this trip it did. Many people enjoy it. Me, one, not. The waiter, while he knew about the menu, definitely exceeded personal freedom in the way he spoke with me specifically. My party wasn't insulted, neither was I. They said, however, that he was “flinched with me” everything was too much. When it came to the end of the night, a person was sent to delete the table and literally take the water glasses out of our hands. He began to say “OK. good night. Thanks for coming.” And clear the table while we sat there. When we discussed what was going on with the hosts, they were as careless as possible. I was shocked by the treatment of what I thought was a very high dining room. Honestly, no food quality will ever attract us back to this place. If you want to be spoken and treated like anger, visit CANOE. If you want to enjoy your meal, go somewhere else!
We always had a great experience with Canoe and while we were not in a while, we were looking forward to the experience. I am very pleased to report that the food, service and overall experience were so good or better than last time. We celebrated a late Valentine's Day and had a very pleasant evening. We immediately sat with a table on the window that looked at the river. The noise level in the restaurant was very energetic but not negative to our culinary experience. Well done, everywhere!
Best restaurant in Vinings! You have to try the kangaroo. I wouldn’t recommend the oysters unless you like them tiny. We also got the snapper and the cod both delicious but the tortellini that came with the cod was top notch delicious! For dessert, we tried the banana pie and carrot cake — seriously best carrot cake I’ve ever had at a restaurant! For drinks, my husband got the Manhattan, I got the Don’t Call Me Shirley both delish! We finished everything off with a delicious 10 aged port wine Graham Tawny and felt extremely satisfied! The service was the best we’ve had in Atlanta in quite some time, very attentive knowledgeable waitress, and courses were spaced out appropriately. Only complaint was the bus boy was a little too quick at times to take our plates, but other than that, everyone was very nice and great service!
