First night we were having small beers and on the second night he told us that they don't serve them. And magically working hours changed. From 23.00 to 22.00
The food and atmosphere were great, but this is the only place in a multiweek trip through Germany and Czech Republic that added 19% VAT to our bill rather than include that tax in its menu prices. That's a pretty steep markup.
We ate there on a whim while visiting the area, very skeptical at first but wow were we surprised!! We have eaten Indian food around the world and this was the best ever!! The service was incredible, it started raining on the patio and the staff were like bees getting us all inside and situated with our food and never missed a beat. All in all a great experience, you'll love it!
We were staying one night at Hotel Avalon, and being tired from our travels we opted to have dinner immediately downstairs at Masala (Indian) Restaurant. The food was absolutely beautiful! Please, please, please order the special 3 course (mystery) dinner for two! Every mouthful was so delicious (I would never have ordered soup from an Indian restaurant - yum).We went on to order dessert, which we didn't need, and it too excelled. My suggestion is the dumplings, which resembled donuts in sugar syrup.
Traveling to Germany doesn't necessary mean that you should have just Brezel und Wurst. Close to the train station is a nice Indian restaurant, the food remind me of great days spent in India. Friendly staff, good food.
