We were in Baltimore to see a show and reviews for Puerto were great so it seemed like an easy choice. Unfortunately that was not our experience. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservations and found the doors locked. We rang the doorbell and got no response. We saw people inside but nobody came to the door. Exquisite experience! the menu was incredible, and every ingredient was so fresh. highly recommend bringing a bottle of pisco and doing the sour service- the sours are amazing. overall, a hidden gem. the chef is incredible and the service is excellent.
It may have been an off night.. first 2 dishes were some of the best I?ve had in Baltimore.. then had octopus-potato dish that came out cold and an over cooked steak dish.. finished strong with a nice dessert but 2 1/2 hours for the meal was not worth it.
I normally go through and dissect what I liked and didn't like with my meal, but there were no negatives. If I went through everything I liked, this review would become tediously long. Seasoning was perfect throughout, every protein was tender, and every element had a reason for being there nothing was superfluous. Suffice to say, I scraped every plate clean. In terms of atmosphere, it's way more laid back, with the dress code being pretty flexible. Great indulgence any
I was told by a older couple that this was the best restaurant in Baltimore. Well after dinning there I've discovered that this is in fact a hidden gem. The food, price and service was excellent. I returned to this restaurant on 1/14/2022 and it was just as good if not better than the 1st time I went. The staff is friendly and the service is great. I will definitely make this a weekly stop.
