Garcia's Mexican - Bastrop

Some comments say very expensive. However, I feel that $4 for a simple crispy taco is a bit much. They also charge 15% extra for a pickup order that was not announced on the phone. Apart from that, the food was good.

My friends and I decided to grab some chips, salsa, and margaritas at Garcia's on a Saturday. We were delighted to find out that they had a happy hour special. We ordered Johnny's margaritas, one lime and one peach. What we didn't know was that only the lime flavor was $4 during happy hour. Both drinks tasted the same, with no hint of Tequila. Our quick snack and mellow margaritas ended up costing us $40. Very disappointing. SMH.

The food was really good. It was the worst service I ever had in a restaurant. We were there in the afternoon, so there weren't many customers. There were many employees. They spent time together to huddling. We could get their attention to get more chips and salsa or our drink refilled. After our order, our waitress never checked with us if we need anything until she got us our check. I wonder if it's worth the pain of coming to good food.

Friendly staff, beautiful place. Average food. I ordered the Cali Chicken Plate. It was a madman, maybe a free day, or so it is. The chips were some of the best I had, very crispy and I liked the salsa.

Service was mediocre. Food was basic. The MARGARITAS were the ONLY delicious item i had on my visit. My waiter didn't pick up our empty plates until after we were done, so they were in our way the entire time. Salsa was okay, chips were super crunchy, queso tasted like it came out of a can. Probably will only come back for the margaritas. Food is 1 star Service 1 star Margaritas 5 stars
