Moonlight Cuisine - Birmingham

I went to this restaurant with a friend, and we enjoyed freshly prepared food. The staff was attentive and friendly. The jalfrazi was excellent, with high quality chicken pieces and delicious mushroom rice. I would highly recommend this restaurant and definitely plan on returning.

This is both our regular place to go out for curry and our go to for takeaway delivery. The food is delicious, portions are just right and the prices are very reasonable. It is a lovely peaceful place to eat out, clean with a relaxing atmosphere. Service is excellent and the staff are awesome. I can heartily recommend the murghi chom chom starter my husband will occasionally have two of these for a main because it is his absolute favourite.

Avoid like the plague visited 20 mins before closing time to order takeaway was stunned when waiter came out from kitchen followed by a greasy horrible grey rat. Unbelievably whilst trying to chase it with a saucepan he was claiming it was a tame pet rat owned by the chef. I said your taking **** what chef as a pet rat. As 4 waiters joined the chase and cornered the so called pet rat I left building without my takeaway which luckily I hadn’t paid in advance for.. never I shall I return .. yuk

We used to frequent Moonlight regularly and have always had a pleasant dining experience, until tonight. We ordered a chicken curry that was bright red and tasted nothing like a traditional curry, and a chicken balti that lacked flavor and coriander. We called to complain and were offered a discount on our next order, but we have no intention of returning. The curry was inedible and the customer service was disappointing. It is a shame to see such a drastic decline in quality at a restaurant we once enjoyed. Our family and friends will no longer be dining at Moonlight.

Went for the eat out to help out deal. Service was the worst I have experienced in any restaurant. Waited 90 minutes for our food. It was quiet busy but no busier than any other restaurants doing the same deal. Food was ok, we were starving by the time it came but still most of us left food as it just wasn’t very nice. Glad I tried this place whilst it was half price, would have been livid if I had to pay full price for such substandard food and service.
