When you play the slots its always fun to win. I realize you dont always have to win but, when you run a 100.00 through and dont even get your bet back once, that is pretty sad. We did have fun overall. Just lost way too much money the first day I was there.

The casino used to be upscale, but now it has recurring problems with machines not accepting tickets, machines not cashing out, low payouts, and card readers not working. This has led to a decline in quality. Despite the gifts they offer, the two-hour drive to get there is no longer worth it. I will not be returning.

The North Star is always a enjoyable place to visit, whether you win or lose. The rooms are clean, but in need of an electrical upgrade as many outlets and lights don't work. The staff is exceptional throughout the entire casino and the food is delicious. However, some players have complained that the slot machines seem tighter in the past year.
