Convene in Bradford on a Saturday afternoon after shopping. It was busy waiting. I ordered a table upstairs and the app. It was busy and we expected to wait. After about 25 minutes we saw a lady coming from below with what we assumed were our drinks. She brought her to the bar where we saw our other drinks were poured. A pepsi and a pepsi cherry. What we didn't expect was to see how the lady tasted her to see what they were. When the drinks were brought to the table, I said what we had seen, and she looked shocked that I didn't want to accept the drink that had been tasted. She brought it back to the bar where they all laughed. When my husband went to the bar, she shook his head at him. As if we had done something wrong and it's totally acceptable to try someone's drink. If we hadn't ordered food and waited for almost half an hour, we would have gone out. Not our local Wetherspoons and we will not return.
Came here for a few drinks as a small group of friends. Mostly because it was cheaper than some places, but also on a Monday night had a nice atmosphere. Drinks are very cheap and get a good round for your money. Good selection of tables and found a stand for all of us. Was very clean and the seat clean. Ordering through the app and drinks came quite fast to say we ordered a few cocktails. Had interaction with two employees and they were very friendly and smiling. Like they worked well together. Overall a beautiful atmosphere and a good place to meet and catch up friends without being too loud or impressing.
It is in a good location and has a decent outdoor area (weather permit). We called for lunch at an unbeatable price. The coat potato was a little underwhelming, but the chicken and bacon salad was pretty good, like the Fudge cake desert.
On Friday, 28th October, I visited this facility at 10 o'clock. I went out for some fresh air where I was harassed by a very hostile male who decided to throw compliments to me as soon as I went out of the way despite my obvious interest to communicate with him. When I said that I am not in the mood to engage socially and that I am autistic, this man began to harass me tirelessly, talk badly about me, be verbally hostile. The doorman did nothing. After some time I said to the male, you were working here when he was standing right at the door with the towers, he said he didn't do it and began to argue loudly about me that I wanted to complain to a manager. At this stage a young lady said she was working there and told him to leave me alone. The lady had a lanyard, she informed me she didn't even work at this point. I appreciate the intervention of this woman, but the abuse went on some time before she intervened. I'm incredibly disgusting that the doormen said and didn't do anything. I left shortly after and I will never return. I have this review for this institution wherever this is available, as it is completely unacceptable. A female is entitled to go into a pub, especially one that is so serious, and not be verbally abused and harassed to not place any man who demands their time and attention. I was completely sober at the time, so there was no distortion to my perception. It is completely logical to fear for his safety with such a verbal abuse of a strange man. I'm incredibly disappointed.
Excellent beers at great prices. However two people behind the bar, one very friendly and one not engaging at all. Witnessed a guy bring his beer back only to be ignored. Needs consistency of customer service please
