Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónAfter passing by the restaurant several times, I finally decided to check it out. I sat at the bar and ordered a cold draft beer, but it was only slightly cool. While sitting there, some regulars came in and asked the bartender (who I assume was the owner) how things were, to which he replied with a flippant remark about needing a couple lines to fix things. There was also a woman who had clearly had too much to drink and kept trying to talk to me, despite my polite attempts to disengage. I left a few sips of beer in my glass, walked out the door, and have no plans to return. I should have just kept driving by like I had before.
My mom and I decided to try out this restaurant in Eagle Place. When we arrived, my mom sat down at a table and ordered a glass of water while looking at the menu. I went outside for a quick smoke and joined her shortly after. The waitress took a while to bring me a menu, so I had a chance to look around the tired-looking pub. There were only a few people at the bar and a table nearby. When I finally got the menu, I asked for a Guinness, but they were out of stock so I settled for a Keiths instead. After waiting for my beer for 10 minutes, I went out for another smoke and returned to a slightly cool pint with no head. We placed our orders – I asked for a beef dip with an upgrade to onion rings, and my mom ordered a cheeseburger with fries. However, they later informed me that the beef dip was unavailable, so I switched to fish and chips with the onion ring upgrade. When our meals arrived, the waitress mistakenly thought we both wanted onion rings, but my mom actually wanted fries. The fish was good, but the burger was dry and overcooked. The bun was also over toasted, and when I brought it up to the waitress, she said it was from the BBQ sauce. I asked for it to be fixed, and when it returned, the bun was nicely toasted but the burger remained the same. Mom asked for some relish, and she was given a tiny portion cup. As I finished my meal and mom was still eating, we were asked if we wanted the bill, without any offer of dessert or more drinks. The prices were cheap, but the quality did not meet our expectations. We will not be returning.
Ideal spot for an affordable weekend breakfast.
