The woman at the bar inquired if we had a reservation, which we did not, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. She informed us that they close at 3 and it would take 10 minutes to take our order, leaving us with no time to eat. This lack of customer service was completely unacceptable. It seems we are not the only ones who have been treated poorly due to their strict closing time. We will not be recommending or returning to this establishment.
Have been to the Inn twice in a month! That's a record. Visited with friends and then with son and partner after raving about the Sunday lunch. He was also impressed. Don't take my word for it try it.
Been here a few times for Sunday lunch. Always a really good /tasty meal and always plentiful. Waitress service is always excellent. The only down point (and my fault as we’re always last minute booking) there’s a few tables by the bar which are directly under the bars television. I know the hardened drinkers congregating there are watching the TV above us but still a little uncomfortable. Especially when they get a little rowdy. Highly recommended by avoid those two tables
Went there for Sunday lunch recently. I cannot fault the food for taste and quantity and the surroundings are comfortable and clean. Very busy on a Sunday. We booked for 12md, we’re served at 1pm and advised that they needed the table for 2pm, so be aware of this but the food was lovely! Will go again but probably at 2pm.
For our wedding anniversary meal with our family, we decided to go to the Corner House. It's a bit off the beaten path, but we received a warm welcome. The menu had a good variety of options to choose from. Our food arrived hot and delicious. The standout for us were the chips, which were excellent and we were even given extra. With five people dining and all enjoying a three-course meal, the total came to £120, which we found to be quite reasonable.
