Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónMy friend and I went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch and ordered the wild mushroom starter and beef and chicken roasts. The mushrooms were tough but tasty, and the presentation was good. The chicken was advertised as breast but turned out to be boned and rolled thigh with veins, sinew, and fat. The beef was sliced too thick and was not as tender as expected. The potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were hard and dry. Our total bill, including drinks, was almost £50. For that price, we were disappointed with the quality of the food and the comfort of the seating arrangement. We left feeling unsatisfied and unlikely to return.
I visit this restaurant every month for Sunday lunch, and it never disappoints. The roast potatoes are fantastic, the red cabbage is amazing, and the Yorkshire puddings are cooked to perfection. The gravy is unbeatable. The gooey chocolate brownie and the Apple and Rhubarb crumble are the best I've ever had.
The customer service at this restaurant is amazing, and they were very attentive to my dietary restrictions.
Great Sunday lunch, fab beer, relaxed friendly service perfect for us, thanks
Two of us visited Sunday dinners and had the wild mushroom starter and the bark and chicken roast. most mushrooms were pretty hard (very tasty and well presented). The chicken and rolled upper leg inluding venen, sinus and fat the menu indicated 'brust'. the bark was carved too thick and not as tender as expected for a salmon cut of bark meat. kartoffels were hard and dry for the yorkshire pudding. our meals with 3 drinks were just about £50. for this price I expect least what the menu (or a declaration if something has been replaced before the order) and the niches that are suitable to eat with the table top in the chest height was not particularly comfortable or worthy. we have starved enough to go back and eat the whole thing again, but rather unprepared to come back again.
