Liam's at the island for some reason has better tasting food. Had a steak and it was dry like it was frozen and had gotten defrosted..
We went to celebrate my birthday. Ambience was good although lighting wasn’t enough. It was just too dark. Service; was not good at all. We either had a new waitress or waiter, not sure, or they just didn’t want to be at work that evening. Food; I had the filet mignon, md rare, and it was delicious. To be honest better than Landry’s. My caramelized carrots were to die for and my baked potato was cooked just right. Would’ve loved a roll or some kind of pc of bread though. My husband had the ribeye, he wasn’t very impressed but he said overall was okay. He said Texas Roadhouse was better. My children had the burgers and they didn’t like them. They didn’t even eat 1/4 of them. They were not cooked well even though we asked to make sure that they would be well done. To be honest, they went straight into the trash. Shrimp cocktail was blah. Would never get it again. The crème brûlée was not good. Beer was good! Bottle! Would probably go again to have the filet, and hoping for better service. No one wants to go have dinner and pay a $250 bill to see sour puss faces on the servers.
Scroll to bottom for cliff notes.Work Monday-Sat and decide to treat myself to an amazing Sunday dinner. Walked in to a pretty quiet restaurant alone and sat down at the bar. Ordered calamari and was impressed. Calamari was cooked well with a meaty marinara sauce.I decided to order their ultimate filet mignon (don’t remember the menu name). I ordered it medium rare with steak fries and asparagus. When the food came out, i noticed the steak was bleu instead of medium rare. I started off with the fries and they were amazing, asparagus was done extremely well. The steak however, needs its own description. It was covered what looked to be minced crab meat. The steak itself was foul and taste of road kill. I actually wasn’t sure if i was eating beef or a dead animal scraped off the road. The food was presentable though.Recommendations to readers, if your feet wet in post apocalyptic rotten flesh consumption, this is your spot. Again, this was just this particular item off the menu. I heard the other place on the island was better. For me, this ends my experience with Liam’s steakhouse.Cliff notes: My 2¢Zombi flesh sashimi style steak, maybe tuna idkGood calamariGood serviceMaybe owner doesn’t like black people ?, I took the warning to just say away.
Came in for my birthday dinner, just wanting to do something a little fancier than chain steakhouses. I've heard good things but this was my first time trying it. Ended up being amazing! The atmosphere was calm, dim like you'd expect most nicer restaurants and staff were super nice and quick. My sister, husband, and I ordered a few martinis which were all super tasty. The strawberry one was our favorite! Husband had the cedar plank salmon which was to die for, best salmon he's ever had and it was cool to see it come out on fire lol! I had some sort of chicken pasta which was super good and my sister ate a seafood pasta which she loved. We ended up having leftovers and they were still just as tasty the next day. Crème brûlée was killer and the bill ended up being a decent price for having drinks, dinner, and dessert for three! Definitely will be back on a special occasion or when craving that kind of food!!
