Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI’ll start with the strong points. The waiters are extremely polite, helpful and entertaining. It’s like they work in marketing, each dish has a nice story. The bartender seems very passionate about his job too, watching him prepare cocktails was like watching a show, so, if you go, I recommend you to order a cocktail. The ambiance of the place is pleasant, I liked the open kitchen concept. They have other nice touches too, like wooden knife for butter appetizer and the butter being server on a rock (the butter itself was completely regular, just the presentation was special). I did not like the chairs, they were not comfortable. Our dishes (you can see what we ordered in the picture with the receipt) were at best mediocre in taste. The main courses both had a strong smokey taste (including the puree and the sauces), that was the main “fragrance” in both. The dessert I ordered (oister like) was definitely not on my taste and I communicated this to the waiter. However, the dessert that came on the house was tasty. In conclusion, very good marketing, but I’ve had much better food, both at restaurants that were more expensive, and at ones that were less expensive. Which is why I will not go there again and I will not recommend the place. PS. I’m sorry I didn’t read the other bad reviews left to this place before I went, to see the arrogance with which the restaurant replied. Otherwise, I definitely wouldn’t have gone there at all.
This place is amazing! The food is out of this world. Probably the best place in Romania to dine. Certainly the best in Bucharest. The restaurant is a reinterpretation of Romanian cuisine. They use traditional local ingredients but with a modern twist that only adds taste and delights the eyes.
I visited KAIAMO in August 2021 and it was probably the best food experience I have ever had. The food, the service, the experience is out of this world. It was a fantastic evening and definitely I will come back. I strongly recommend this place, you can’t regret this experience.
The food was delicious and inventive with very interesting aroma combinations and nice reinventions of romanian food. The decorations are a mix between traditional and modern. The staff was very polite, entertaining and very helpful if you need a recommandation. They also offered some very nice surprises on the house. The prices may be high, but it is worth it.
The interior is a bit loungy but touches of natural wood also keep it earthy. We tried the 11 courses tasting menu with a wine pairing. The dishes are very well presented on beautiful plates. Fresh local ingredients are used throughout the course. The textures and flavors are used with a lot of creativity while keeping things extremely subtle and balanced. The wine pairing was very solid too with beautiful and elegant romanian wines. A superb restaurant were cuisine is really treated as an art.
