Cafe The Rose was recommended to us, as we were looking for a second hand reading book. What a lovely gem. A coffee shop stocked with olives, olive oil, baked goods, coffee and gifts. They have a beautifully decorated back garden, which has been set up to seat dining-in guests, however it is perfect for hosting any type of celebration. I love Pastei De Nata, though I can't say that it is made the authentic way, what I can say is that it was one of the most delicious Pastei De Natas that I have ever had. Quite possibly the best eggs Benedict I have had! A tranquil restaurant in the heart of Calitzdorp. Lovely coffee, great service in a peaceful setting.
