Had a great dinner at Habitat in the Grande Rockies Resort. New owners from the Iron Goat have added some class by offering craft beer selections, local food and gluten free options, along with dining in and around thee fireplace in the lounge area... Food was amazing! Truffle fries, glazed wings and the meatball appies were scrumptious. So good!
Had brunch here with 3 out of 4 people ordering the Eggs Benedict. A tad overpriced for what you get and very heavy handed on the salt. Something wasn't quite right with the hollandaise but our table couldn't quite put out finger on what it was. The service was ok but we had to wait for a water refresh more than a few times even though there were only 3 other tables in the whole restaurant.
Not pleased at all. Barely worth the two stars given, but the hollandaise held nicely. Let me start with some positives. I found the service to be very efficient and timely. Mind you the place was dead, but still. I also thought the eggs Benny was ok. Just not 15$ ok. Now the real problem the eggs Benny was just ok. How can I spend 4 days in a condo with 7 other guys and make 3 straight home cooked breakfasts that blew that one out of the water. As a table we spent 120$ on bleh food (plus the outrageous coffee situation to follow). This truly is my biggest peeve when reviewing a restaurant. Money down the drain when you pay for better. Lastly, but far from leastly (possibly not a word), we were charged a full 3.50$ for our half cup REFILL on our coffee. You know, a little top up. No warning given. Just a little pour from the waiter and a 7 DOLLAR CHARGE for coffee on the bill. That's an absolute slap in the face. You know what?! One star!!
Went with family for my wife's birthday. We had a wonderful meal and great time! Thanks for treating her special!
