Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThis is one of our favourite places to go. I have been there in small and large groups. The Sunday lunch we had was excellent and as good if not better than other places we have been. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a dog with us and a member of our party had a zimmer frame to help them walk. The staff helped ensure we had a table we could access easily and the dog was comfortable. I am amazed to read some of the other reviews and wondered if they had got the wrong Granville as we did not recognise their comments. I would recommend you go especially for the Sunday Lunch. A lovely and welcoming pub.
We are regular visitors to The Granville and last Friday was as usual a very pleasant experience. Tim was very friendly and went that extra mile and our meal of beef cheek and for myself a cheese burger with onion rings was lovely. We will continue to visit as we know that the service, food and ambiance will always be excellent.
We have eaten at The Granville on a few occasions no and all has been fairly good. My husband and myself stopped by for dinner a week ago and have to say we will not be returning. We waited nearly half an hour for two drinks and our food followed after another half an hour. Burger and steak were tasty but the service from staff was very disappointing. Staff were disinterested and it felt as if it was a chore to take our order and serve the food. We gave up on ordering dessert.
After eating in The Granville for many years I am saddened to write this review. Visiting this week with family I left very disappointed. The food was terrible. It came out cold, poorly presented and of very small portions. We questioned if the spring rolls were from Iceland and if my main adult meal was a child’s meal. My husband complained about his food and was met with a rather rude waitress. The staff didn’t know what the soup of the day was, which burger was which and they did not replace cutlery from starters. It’s needless to say we will not be returning. I do hope this is a change of ownership and that the other establishments connected to The Granville are not going to go down hill too.
This is the second time recently I’ve visited this pub which offers a tempting menu of varied food choices. However, for the second time the food was luke warm and served on cold plates. I chose beef cheek followed by what sounded like a delicious coffee cheesecake. Whilst the quality of the main course was great, it was cold. The food was then reheated but still had cold spots. By this time I was so hungry, I ate it anyway. The dessert course was apparently sugar free apart from the ice cream and garnishes. Service was very slow with too few staff on the floor and I wouldn’t choose to visit this pub restaurant again.
