Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe stayed as part of a walking tour through the Queryas. We were a group of 8. We also stayed in Saint-Veran l'Echalp, at similarly priced gites, and we rated this one as generally good. Accommodation is separate to main restaurant and a short walk away in the village. The room we had was clean, separate shower/toilet. Food was of a reasonable/good standard and as expected for the price. Service was helpful, clear and polite.
After a rather nice welcome, service in less than 5 minutes for a lasagna dish with beef almost all burnt and dry (the oven was probably very effective! , a green salad poorly garnished with cheese and corn, and a local beer which expiry date was 05.25.2015.(we are in July ! As we informed the the boss about this last point, we were answered that the beer was still good and that we would not be sick. On top of that she said that they were allowed to serve products after expiry date. No apology or commercial discount. ........
After 30 years of travelling in France I can honestly say that the meal we had was one of the worst ever. Cooking steak isn't difficult yet this restaurant managed to serve a tough, tasteless piece of meat smothered in a supposed pepper sauce that tasted only of flour. The staff were indifferent and seemed not to care. Avoid !

We arrived by chance and we returned ... good and genuine food and at absolutely fair prices! Good!
