Riverside - Charlestown-bellahy

We absolutely loved our stay here. Our host was incredibly accommodating when we realized we had made a mistake with our booking. Our children enjoyed it so much and can't wait to come back again.

If your looking for quintessential Irish home/b&b this is it. Anthony is a fantastic host and a wonderful chef. The breakfast is always amazing. The building itself has an old world feel, with a lot of personality. I would highly recommend for an overnight stay.

Walking into this guesthouse, I knew I was going to enjoy my stay. Situated next to a babbling river, we were easily able to find the location and parking was available up front. Anthony welcomed us in and helped us to our room. In the sitting room, there was a big bouquet from Violet's florist across the street with lilies smelling bright and Christmas-ready. There are paintings and photos and lovely antique furniture lining the halls and you feel welcomed in. The bed was very comfortable and warm. The room was clean and bright and very spacious. The shower had warm water, great water pressure. We were provided suggestions for local sites and places to grab a bite to eat. Anthony's breakfast was exceptional. We were spoiled by offerings of full Irish, fresh fruit, coffee, brown bread and marmalade. We can't stop talking about the eggs and potatoes. Still!

The guesthouse is family owned and run. Rooms are lovely and clean, prices are normal. The breakfast is fabulous as is the award wining chef. Atmosphere is friendly, warm and welcoming. Stay there if you have the chance
