Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe stopped at Chateauneuf for lunch at the end of November. Place was quite empty, understandable. But a fire went and some simple but pretty good food was available. No pleasure, but the trick.
We were here because we couldn't find the other restaurant in the village. It has a parking space outside and a beautiful terrace, so we went for it. Unfortunately it started raining, so we went inside. It's not the biggest menu....The food we had was easy. Beef Bourgogne was warm and probably reheated. Rabbit with mustard was okay. Beer was good and service friendly. Kudos to the waiter who brought my wallet out after we left it on the table.
Passing through in time for a light lunch, we stopped here, it is on a pretty little terrace. Location was perfect, we both had a small salmon salad, saving our appetites for our evening meal! It was good, 5.75 Euros each, plus a small beer...each and an espresso and the bill was very good value at 20.30 Euros. So it would have been 5* for what we had, except we had to ask for the bill several times, and waited about 10 minutes, which is a real shame as basically one man was working very efficiently in a busy spot until then.
My wife and I had lunch here on a visit to Châteauneuf. Got in without reservation just after 12. By 1230 they were turning people away as they were full. We ate outside. Nice enough outlook onto a small square (used for parking, but the...Horse Chestnut tree was flowering and it was a nice day. The service was friendly. English spoken and the menu was easy to decipher. We had the set menu but different options. Both enjoyed our choices. The food was tasty and well presented and also left us full. I would recommend this place, but get in early as they are busy and food stops around 1330hrs (at least it did on the Thursday we were there.
Un accueil très sympathique, un service de même et un repas bon et pas cher, que demander de mieux ?
