Visited this Fish and Chip shop super time after working late the shop was empty The food was poor the steak pudding undercooked the chips you could count them so few …I left feeling hungry
This chip shop is without a doubt one of the least hygienic in town. In the last three visits, my family and I have suffered from food poisoning after consuming the fish and undercooked sausage. Despite giving the benefit of the doubt, hoping it was a one-time occurrence, the quality has continued to decline. The fish smelled off from the start on our most recent visit, and once again made my mother very ill. Whoever is in charge of this establishment should be ashamed. We will never be returning. It is best to find another place to eat if you value your health.
I have been a frequent customer at this restaurant for a long time, but I believe it is time for a change. From cold beans on top of a warm steak pudding to lukewarm gravy over cold, old, shriveled-up chips, my recent visit was very disappointing. The service was chaotic and the wait time was excessively long. This restaurant really needs to improve.
I took my fish and chips to the car nearby. Luckily there was a lovely black cat that sensed the food. I shared half the fish with it and threw the chips away because they were just warm. Fish was wet inside. For another £2 I could have sat down in Charlies Chips and have mushy peas, bread and butter, tea or coffee but I thought I would give Browns a whirl. They should change the name of this chippy as I'm sure the present occupiers are degrading the past reputation.
