I came in early for my reservation and enjoyed briefly perusing some throwback records before being seated.I will say the seating was slightly dark and compact, but the meal, music, and company definitely balanced it out. I'm an oyster gall and so is my family, so having fresh oysters was amazing. Sorry that I couldn't get a picture before digging in.Also the fancy chef dishes were a pleasant surprise for me without being too out there that I'd be afraid to try it. Be expecting to take some home (Unless your us and tried to eat as much as we could) Last thing, shout-out to Haley as she was attentive, a great multitasker on our side of the room, and not at all overbearing so we enjoyed our time.Parking: It has a some good spots that I saw near the entrance and probably more further in, but if that is full, the parking lot across from Old Main is a hop skip and a jump away.

Better than majority of meals we've had in San Antonio. Got a front row seat to the open kitchen. Wine list is decent, cocktail selection is good. Crab cakes were good, salads decent, entrees superb. My only regret is that I couldn't eat more. Worth the trip
My wife and I are big fans of dining out and always strive to support locally owned restaurants. We had the pleasure of meeting Liz Jayme, the owner, at another fantastic restaurant, and we decided to give her place a try for our friend's 30th birthday. She arranged for us to have a table near the chefs, which was an incredible experience to witness their culinary skills in action. The food was hands down the best we’ve had in Texas over the past year! I would highly recommend KINDLING for birthdays or anniversaries, and if possible, try to book a Chef's Table. The ribeye was spectacular, and the lobster risotto was equally delicious. Everything is made fresh daily to order, which is truly remarkable!
I recently had one of the best meals I've had in a long time! The seafood at this restaurant is among the finest I've experienced in Texas. The crab cakes were not only delicious but also perfectly portioned. Although I didn't take a picture, the wine selection was impressive with generous pours. My husband enjoyed sipping on tequila and found their options to be quite appealing. The ribeye and lobster were both delicious, but the standout for me was the scallops — they were perfectly cooked and literally had a delightful bounce. Overall, the quality was excellent, and the fish was incredibly fresh. Don't skip dessert! The portions are generous, so we even had leftovers to savor later. I really enjoyed my experience at Kindling Texas Kitchen.
