Had a lovely time at the sawyers arms, looked after really well, food all arrived on time for 5 people and was really nice. Friendly staff.
Been there before and it’s always been good. This time a rude pink headed waitress who messed up a table reservation and after that again rudely said they didn’t have what was on the menu. We left without eating or drinking. Never again. Avoid!
The place is what it is, a traditional but touristy pub by Paddington Station, but the food was a joke. The £18 stake was supposed to be a “18 months dry aged sirloin with triple cooked fries”. Haha, what a joke! It was a chewy piece of blend meat and store bought fries, and a quite boring bearnaise. Not uneatable but far FAR from what is on the menu.
Lovely pub . But food was awful .. ordered steak and ale pie ,it came with mash and cabbage. But never in my life have I seen cabbage in a big slab that looked like it had been thrown on a griddle to char grill it . It was burnt . No one asked how meal was on collecting plates and most of it was left . Total waste of money ..
