Beef filling was more of a ?mild? heat and crust was too dry and flaky, not the bready/chewy texture I usually look for. Their sorrel was decent and made in house which Iliked, not too sweet or gingery either.
Small portions, low quality chicken poorly spiced with just a mediocre Bbq sauce on it.The soda was fine.
The food here is alright ordered through DoorDash). I grew up in Brooklyn in a Trinidadian household, so I?m genuinely used to the legendary West Indian spots around BK aside from my family?s home cooking. These new West Indian spots popping up have beenmissing the mark. The macaroni gives me soul food instead of classic macaroni pie. The oxtail portion is ridiculously smallfor $18 and the rice and peas are bland. I asked for extra gravy on my oxtail and didn?t receive it West Indians love theirextra gravy). They are absolutely not worth the price. Go ahead and try Fisherman?s Cove instead. They?re better. For a fewdollars more $19 for medium/$22 for large) you get a nice, heavy, tasty platter. Twice as many oxtails, delicious rice andpeas, and it?s worth the price. If you think this food tasted good, I don?t think you know true Jamaican cuisine.
The food is actually very good. Too small of portion of food for the price. I know oxtail is expensive to buy but for a large platter I expected more than 4 oxtail pieces.
The rasta pasta was dry and had no seasoning. I had to put my pasta in a pot and add my own sauce. I wanted to love this place. I wont order again
