We were delighted to see that this charming pub has returned to its former excellence during our recent visit. We had a disappointing experience in 2020, but the new owners have successfully revived the establishment. Our only complaint was that it was a bit chilly inside, despite the open fire. However, considering the temperature was around -4 degrees outside, we can appreciate the challenge. The food was delicious, just as we remembered before the pandemic. We look forward to visiting again. The average price per person is £30-40.

The restaurant is dull and in need of a refurbishment. There are too many tables, making it feel cramped. The beers are expensive. Despite these drawbacks, it has a quirky atmosphere.

I arranged a work Christmas meal here and we all had a great time. The communication in the lead up to the meal was excellent and on the day the service was really attentive and efficient and the food was prompt and tasted freshly made and was delicious.
