Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI wasn't there, but I had lunch there, eating is good, but a little expensive, understandable. the cursed is a little far from the road, I should probably not say that as a wanderer, but it is very true if they are in a hurry to get to refuge maison vieille. it has a restaurant in the cafeteria that is good.
Strategic position before the last climb to Lake Miage!
All very good, very kind staff, courteous and helpful owners.... Optimal
Stunning setting and the rooms are spotless and welcoming, toiletries were divine. The food for dinner and breakfast however was average, as was the packed lunch, one of most minimal of TMB walk. The service lacked warmth. Can recommend for TMB stop as the rooms are gorgeous though.
We stayed at the Cabane du Combal as part of our TMB itinerary arranged by Alpine Exploratory. It was one of the top nights on the trek for me. The location is gorgeous and the number of guests was far more limited than other big refuges seen on the TMB. The dining was great and while we typically prefer private accommodations, the four person dormitory room was spacious with a separte shower/bathroom seemed adequately comfortable and luxurious. Unlike other refuges, due to the layout and limited guests, it's actually quiet at night. The staff was super friendly. I'm sure they book up quickly but I would try to include this hotel-like refuge on my itinerary were I booking in the future. Have fun!
