Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI used to like this place but tonight they encouraged me to never come again. The staff were all extremely rude and unreasonable, subsequently forcing us to leave. What really got to me was when I told them I was going recommend people not go there and they just rolled their eyes and laughed, the complete lack of interest in retaining customers was enough to make me sick. After what seemed like a ruined evening we headed over to Fluid, it is just a couple blocks down the road on Cliffe. Our experience quickly change for the better when we got there, the food was great and the staff were very friendly. If ever you find yourself considering giving Billy D's a shot, don't waste your time. Head over to Fluid and actually enjoy your evening. UPDATE: They also removed my review off their Facebook page, not too professional if you ask me. No wonder they have 4 stars on that page, every time they get a review they don't like they just take it down.
On Wednesday evening around 9:15ish two women and two guys left there, and one of the women yelled at me and asked me if I wanted to fight. The other woman said something and went into a car with one of the men, the other woman who asked me if I wanted to fight walked around the corner and the man continued to walk down 5th st. alone. They must have thought scaring me was a joke though I have no idea who they were. People in the restaurant probably could hear what happened and did nothing and possibly even know who they were. Courtenay is dead at night, which makes this kind of situation potentially even more dangerous.
Roast Beef Dinner Friendly Service. Title pretty much covers it: we had a great roast beef dinner last Friday (started at 4pm because we were really late for lunch) with the best Yorkshire pudding and gravy I've had since the Oak Bay Beach Hotel's raost beef buffet. Our server was really friendly and efficient, and the house lager was a tasty cold treat on a hot day. Definitely worth a visit.
Social epicenter of Comox Valley. Billy D's meeting place, the social hub of downtown Courtenay , the rendez-vous spot for conversation, the perfect local interactive hub , a place to relax in a vibrant setting and meeting place for friends and family. Bring your child (12 and over) and watch their excitement as the mile high dish of nachos appear. A truly local Bistro with a superbly varied food menu coupled with an interesting variety of numerous infused liquors and cold beers. This is the place; the Mecca to start your evening or for that amazing daily lunch special served by their amazingly friendly staff. Give it a try. illy D's Pub Bistro
Awesome Burgers. Their burgers are some of the best in town. The only thing on the menu I didn't care for was the calamari, not gold and crispy outside, very chewy inside, in other words under cooked. Service is hit and miss, there are a few awesome, energetic individuals there, and a few who are not. Good place to grab some pub grub.
