Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThis place has solid authentic Mexican dishes. Our server went out of his way in explaining the dishes and providing menu recommendations which was very appreciated. We tried the enchiladas and the ceviche, which were very flavorful. The portions were generous for the price. The location is right by the JFK Memorial Plaza.
The food and people were GREAT! I ordered the carnitas tacos and loved them. I'd be carful with the parking lot next to it. $10/hr is quite steep already and if you're late, which the county office is great as doing, they'll boot your car and it'll cost you $150. I tried explaining to him I had to stop at the county office and they made me later than I expected. $150 might not be a lot to some but for someone who has a traveling job to feed his newborn at home, that's a lot of formula gone in a moment. If this is who Chimalma partners with, I don't know if I'll be back. Sad because I LOVED their food.
Came here on a Friday night, it was almost empty, the place only had a few people. I was in the front for quite a few minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Actually, a waitress did see us but did or said nothing. A man at the bar told us we could sit anywhere but we were ordering to go therefore a table wasn 't needed. That 's when a pregnant girl finally came and took our order. I did not get her name but she was actually very nice. But it was waaaayy too slow in there for no one to come help us. So I don 't even want to imagine when it gets busy. We were waiting on my boyfriend 's margarita, it just sitting at the bar meanwhile pregnant girl was literally sitting next to it. If he hadn 't gone up to get it idk how much longer we would have been there waiting! Now, to the food. Small portion, which I don 't mind. But my bf did not like his carnitas tacos, said the carnitas tasted too much like pig if you are a fan of carnitas you will know what I mean. I had the mole enchiladas which weren 't bad, they had a very good taste. Just 2 enchiladas and rice for $15.. hmm.... If you like to eat in big volume, this is not for you. My bf also got a frozen margarita and he did not like it. Only took a sip and that was it. For dessert we got the chocoflan which was very good, and their signature cake which was a little too much chocolate for me. Definitely won 't be coming back.
A cute spot in the downtown, with great food. Service was quick, everyone was so kind, and the Geny was awesome.
What a gem!! We randomly came here came my friend needed to use the bathroom after house hunting, but we stayed for a drink. Needless to say we were pleasantly surprised! The bartender was the loveliest lady and was helpful with the drink options. Their margaritas are HUGE and we left feeling pretty lit. The restaurant is such a cute little place, loved the decor and there was just a great light vibe in the middle of downtown! After reading the reviews I'm sad we didn't order any tacos since everyone is saying how great they are. I'll definitely need to make a point to come back and see what the hype is about.
