I ordered a chicken sandwich with a poppy seed bun, onion rings, and spicy pickles, and I loved all of them! My mouth even waters as I type this four months after eating here. While I'd normally be happier with healthier food, Keller's Garland Road is affordable and excellent for its specialties and selection, so I recommend going here if you're in east Dallas!
A no frills, classic counter-served burger spot that is affordable and delicious. The burgers are pretty damn good and served on a poppy bun; my typical is just a hamburger all the way, but the special is huge favorite if your looking for a double meat. Good fries and spicy ketchup too, plus bread and butter pickles you choose to grab to put on your burger as well. A burger, fries, and a coke will run you less then $10 and I don't think even McDonald can beat that price right now. If you go for the Special Burger, it's still only $12 total.
Every city has its old school hamburger joint and this is the one in Dallas, well one of a couple locations. Keller's is exactly what you're after when you want an old-fashioned hamburger, hot, beefy, and on a poppy seed bun. Despite everything being made to order the service is near instant. You can't go wrong.
Love this place; the best and cheapest burgers, love the seeded buns, fries (very flavorful), BLT's (huge amounts of bacon), cheese tots (it's a slice of American cheese, but still very good), and onion rings (battered). The fries are nicely flavored by the oil they use. Everything is great.
-LOCAL GEM- This place was recommended to me by a local and I took him up on the offer. I was NOT disappointed. The food was fresh and oh so delicious. The fries are basic, but executed perfectly. The right amount of thickness and crunch. The burger prices start at $2.50... when's the last time you had a quality hamburger for under 3 bucks? I added bacon and jalepeno to mine to finish it off, got fries and a drink and I still spent under $8. It seriously is a small family restaurant and honestly I love it, don't pass this place up on your way through.
