The best Waffle House I've ever visited and I live in Atlanta! I was here with college friends. The server was incredible and quickly took our orders. Everything was delicious and right. The only waiting was on one of the waffles. When I visit Lauderdale again, I definitely come back.
As first time Waffle House goers we had no idea what to expect. The counter was dirty; in fact the whole restaurant was pretty dirty when we walked in. But the staff quickly cleaned us a place to sit at the counter and I found the unkempt kitchen endearing as they churned out orders in just minutes. Both the waffles and the breakfast bowls were tasty and just what I hoped for from Waffle House. Three hours later and breakfast is sitting heavy in my stomach I don't think I will be needing a lunch. This place felt like a trip back in time to us Oregonian suburbanites and we loved it.
The food is freshly cooked and offered at a great price with decent quality. I ordered the Hash Brown Scramble for $10, and it arrived in about 8 minutes on a Friday night. Currently, there is no dine-in option due to COVID. I’ve noticed that rappers like 2 Chainz and Migos often mention Waffle House, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
Even though the restaurant was busy, I chose to sit at the bar because I was in a rush. A very friendly staff member greeted me, and after I explained my situation, she quickly brought out my food. This location, near 595, seems to be quite good. The traffic on Davie Road extension is always heavy since they have added traffic lights and made changes to the area. If you're heading north, be sure to turn right in front of the Waffle House; you might miss it if you drive too fast, and it could mean losing a few potential customers.
