We chose to have lunch here based on TripAdvisor reviews. Our meals were okay, but nothing spectacular nor anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps the charm comes at dinner or later? To be clear, there was nothing bad about our experience at all! I would just rate the food as mediocre , and failed to see what all of the hype (via reviews) was about.
We went to Murray's Bar three times, the first 2 times were fantastic. Nice service good music delicious Guinness. But yesterday the service was so unfriendly and cheeky. We arrived at the pub after a 13-hour trip and wanted to enjoy the evening. The waiter made us feel so unwelcome that we couldn't enjoy the good music and beer. It's a shame. I can't recommend it. The apple juice that was still available on Wednesday was supposedly not available yesterday. The apple crumble that was served warm to us on Tuesday was ice cold.
Stopped in here for a late lunch. Was a lovely meal and staff were friendly and will definitely visit again. I can recommend the chicken wings as they were delicious.
This became our local whilst in Dublin! From the Friday morning when we arrived through to Sunday afternoon watching England, we were in here daily. Great atmosphere and Guinness plus check out Thomas Clarke’s too downstairs. Quite a labyrinth of a place as well.
