I was there over a week ago . I asked about the cakes they had in the display . I was there for a birthday cake for a family member .. I saw all the positive reviews and figured it would be decent or better .. I unfortunately was given a stale and not fresh chocolate/vanilla cake . I paid $26.00 for it and regret it . Shame on me believing the counter person saying these cakes are baked daily , but unfortunately mine wasn 't . Buyer beware on the cakes in the display. I can 't review the pastries , coffee, cookies , or breads .. I do believe the other stuff moves but the cakes don 't or they had a slow weekend with them ... I 'm just used to freshness coming from Nyc . I threw out 1/2 the cake out and a lesson learned . I 'll give em a second chance on the other baked goods but on the cakes maybe I 'll do a custom cake .
I visited this restaurant for the first time based on a recommendation and was impressed. The cleanliness and food display were exceptional. A young lady named Lola provided excellent service, which makes me want to recommend this bakery to others.
The new bakery is lovely. The cakes and cookies are absolutely delicious, so tasty! I just wish the staff were a bit friendlier.
I have been going to this bakery for years for delicious pastries and fresh Italian bread. My mom adores their raspberry rugelachs and I am a huge fan of their St. Joseph's pastries. They recently moved to a bigger location and now have seating if you want to enjoy a cup of coffee with your treats.
