The food is good and generous. Only lacking is consistency. Sometimes the food is too sweet or spicy or too chilly.
Generous, moorish and unapologetically delicious. I have been coming to Yang Tz for years now, and not once have their Black Bean Noodles (BBN) and Sweet and Spicy Fried Chicken let me down.Their BBN is a classic and delicious, but the real star of the show is their fried chicken.
Authentic Chinese Korean food. Have been here regularly since I can rememeber. Can never go wrong with place! Severely underrated. But you must know what to order! My recommendations: item 31 fried beef and veggies in sweet and sour sauce. Item 39 fried chicken with sweet and spicy sauce (see pic note that it can be spicy so ask for less spicy if you can't handle the heat. Item 57 noodle with soy bean sauce (see pic . Item. Item 63 Diced seafood and vegetable noodle soup (spicy! .
SPICY GARLIC FRIED CHICKEN AND BLACK BEAN NOODLES:Yang Tz River make the best freaking spicy fried chicken in Sydney. The mixture of heat and sweetness is divine and there is a reason that it is in the other side of the main street of Eastwood 'K-Town ' and right next to the police station. Perhaps because Yang Tz River 'kills ' it.... sorry.Anyhow, the only reason this receives a 4 is because the black bean noodles could be a little bit better. There is not a strong and unique taste that separates this from its competitors. It is definitely solid but nothing more. Visit @benchorburgers on Instagram!
The best Korean-Chinese restaurant in Sydney!! The staff greeted us as soon as we came in the place. We were led to one of the empty tables near the cashier as half of the tables were full already not long after they opened for lunch service. We ordered the signature jajjangmyeon, kkanpungi and jjampong. All the foods arrived shortly after and they were all cooked fresh to order so piping hot. The crispy fried chicken in sweet and spicy sauce is delicious as the chicken pieces are tender inside and crispy on the outside. The sweet sticky and spicy sauce coated each piece beautifully and didn’t taste too overwhelming with spiciness. The black beans noodles was full of umami flavour, packed with onions, cabbage and pork in black bean sauces that has been stir fried over high heat to obtain that smoky flavours from the wok. The spicy seafood noodles soup was full of seafood (shrimp, mussels, octopus and squid) with plenty of veggies and mushrooms. The broth is well balanced and tastes quite spicy and flavourful but not too overly powerful. All three dishes were beautifully cooked and we were very satisfied after the meal (even got some leftovers for takeaway).
