Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThis restaurant is a fantastic new addition to the Elgin and Rideau Lakes area! The delicious homemade food we ordered was served quickly, piping hot, and bursting with flavor - truly authentic and generously portioned.
When you enter this restaurant, you will be welcomed by a wide range of European/Hungarian jams, mustards, cookies, chocolates, and pickled foods.
Savoury and Sweet was recommended by a local. We were only looking for a light lunch & this was perfect. The menu had many different options to choose from. My husband had a Rueben & I had a cabbage roll with a side of potatoes. We enjoyed both. I wish we had tried desserts now after reading the reviews (they did look delicious). I really loved the setting. It's a great place to try some homemade dishes!
We dropped by the restaurant which doubles as art gallery and restaurant for coffee and was told dinner reservations were available by reservation only. We decided to give it a try with friends and the dining experience was worth the trip. The meal was exceptional with a delicious authentic European menu. The service was excellent and staff friendly and accommodating. The menu prices were reasonable however, the establishment does not have a liquor license. We would recommend this to anyone you enjoys a relaxing evening out and appreciates fine dining at a reasonable price.
This restaurant is a fantastic addition to the Rideau Lakes area, located in Elgin and conveniently close to recreational areas near Seeleys Bay and Portland. We enjoyed the Pork and Chicken Schnitzel with Spaetzle on the side, which was made to order and served piping hot. The Spaetzle was the best I have ever tasted, not greasy at all. We were able to make a same-day reservation and started our meal with delicious pierogies. Although we were too full for dessert, we took two Blueberry turnovers to go. We are looking forward to returning with our extended family, as it is a great alternative to cooking while on vacation!
