Gem Variety Store - Elliot Lake

This restaurant is a diner/family establishment that serves home-style dinners at affordable prices. The ambiance is minimal, with a large open room, limited decor, and plain tables and chairs. The menu includes burgers, blue plate specials, hot sandwiches, and more. We ordered a hot turkey sandwich and a burger. While there are nicer restaurants in town, this is a good option if you are on a budget.

Today, my family and I visited GEM Restaurant. I ordered the Clubhouse Sandwich with fries and gravy, which was delicious. We also took home some of their homemade Apple crumble, as they have fantastic desserts. We like to visit GEM every few months and always enjoy a tasty meal there.

For a good home cooked style meal, this is the place. Rustic furniture and friendly atmosphere. Excellent service and food at reasonable price.

Family style cooking, flavourful but not fancy. Recommend soups, deserts and specials.Relaxed atmosphere . Service above average. Good value for money
