Surprisingly good fresh food considering the location. Large terrace with possibilities for sun and shade, available as indoor tables. Some vegan options, meat, fish, pasta and pizza. Or drink and ice cream or waffle. The hotel is located in the beautiful Grugapark.

Very good cake. The service could be a little better.

The orangery is clearly still in business because it is the only place near the University Hospital Essen where you can eat after 1700 hours. It is well located in the park that helps. The food is okay, but not worth the price. Service is friendly, but it does not help to see the waiters sitting at their table smoking cigarettes and then dealing with your food and drinks.

This is just a joke! But once you are there you have to face the truth... Oh no, its not a joke. The badest place i`ve ever been in Essen Germany. Better take the Westfalenpark in Dortmund near you!
