Husband had the filet mignon and it tasted liken it had been dropped on the floor before it was served. We didn't get our appetizer. Walked in and it looks like a nice place but didn't have very friendly staff, seemed irritated to have to seat and wait on us. Over all do not recommend, didn't see what all the hype is about
Ambiance and service were both good. Steak and accompanying side of rice were both very bland. Little to no seasoning. Steak was dry and over cooked. Too expensive for such bland food.
Wish I would have taken a picture of my meal, but it was awesome. Prime Rib with Red River valley baked potato.
It has a nice dark quiet steakhouse look that I like. Told the waitress I drink a lot of water so rather than have her have to continually worry about getting me a refill, she could just leave a carafe. Well she brought one, but with no ice in it so I ended up drinking warm water the whole dinner. I had the prime rib and ordered the large (16 oz) cut…was definitely not thick enough to be 16 ounces, maybe 14 ounces though. Ordered it medium rare, got medium instead. The au jus was basically dark colored water, virtually no flavor at all. Overall seasoning on the meat itself was ok but nothing remotely special. I normally love french onion soup but as with the prime rib, it was ok but again nothing special. I would say a meal there is worth about 60-70% of what their prices are. Not worth going back, which is sad, I remember going there years ago and really loving it.
We had end cut prime rib should have known it was gonna be dry. Surprised it was so over seasoned. And seafood boil...awful is the best word I could find to describe it. Potatoes were raw, sausage was cheap stuff you get from grocery store, mussels were fishy, corn was cold and the crab was missing. We ended up waiting almost 10 minutes after we finished eating to get a larger portion due to the error. 1 large leg and 1 small one is their take on a larger portion. Was very disappointed in the best steak in FM area for the last 50 years! Feel bad for Fargo people if thats a true statement. . Come to Bismarck and enjoy a good steak at Jacks steakhouse. Service was OK but once I had the chance to tell her my crab was missing she kinda went missing herself.. If it weren 't for the wine and atmosphere I 'd give it a zero.Hands down the worst $130 meal we ever had. Parking: Parking was a little wonky
