And got far below average food.. we were hungry....so we ordered again. 2 hours later, no food... And when it came, it was the worse we ever had. Just not like that.
Styled as Masu now, Magic Sushi tastes reasonably authentic but falls short at dish design. In particular, the sushi sets, which comprise a big part of the mains , are simply are too much rice for 1 person to be consumed as a main course, and...no one in my party, who ordered the sushi set was able to finish their food. As the main came with a side, we could choose (more rice (why?? or miso soup, and boy was I glad that I went with the soup. That said, the miso soup was also bland and nothing to write home about. Share this among 2-3 people if you must. The service was decent though, the waiter we had was obliging and attentive, nothing to complain.
Maybe it was a bit early, but we have never seen a waitress so sullen as here. Although she occassionaly helped out the other waitress (younger one? , most of tthe time she kind of layed at the counter. Food is allright though, but more attention...for snappy hospitality would be required
Good foods especially the dish French Touch. It's little bit expensive but the quality is there. The service was efficient .
My husband and I are creatures of Habit but really love Japanese food. We decided to expand our experiences in Fontainbleau and try what we consider a new restaurant. One look at the menu and we realised this was a real japanese house effort. Sake...by the bottle different brands and japanese whiskies on menu. Not just sushi but other japanese dishes. I had the house men last night for 28€ with sushi starter, duck, steamed sea bream, and a foie gras and beef sushi creation plus a matcha tiramisu. Great value and really delicious and I am a big snob on this stuff. My husband had a sushi selection and he felt was of much better quality that other sushis available in town and he eats sushi often as he works in the Japanese quarter in Paris.
