Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónQuaint restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Fantastic service. Good pasta and pizza.... My recommendation would be the fish and prawn pizza- interesting concept.
Decided to pop in here last night (Sat night) and was in luck to grab the last table in the bar area to get some food/drink. The small venue was a hive of activity and chatter and so nice and cosy. Waitress was friendly and owner came up and introduced himself. Great wine selection. I ordered the mushroom risotto and truffle oil entree and a garlic pizza and was very nice. All around lovely vibe and great food can’t go wrong with that!
We had booked online, which was an excellent and easy process, and when we arrived were happy to find the place bustling often the sign of somewhere good. We had browsed the menu online and ordered quickly as we already knew what we wanted. Forty five mins after ordering we were asked how things were going and we mentioned we were just waiting on our food. Our host came back and told us that with hubby having ordered the lamb shank it would take some time as it has to be roasted. Once we knew we weren’t forgotten, we were happy to wait. The wait was well worthwhile and the food was just excellent. After we finished our main courses we asked for dessert menus (though again we NEARLY knew what we wanted and just needed to check). Menus were brought promptly but half an hour later we gave in, went and paid our bill and walked to the dairy two doors up and bought ice cream for dessert. Shame, because I really would have liked to try the crumble . . . But the wait for service was just too much. Shame they couldn’t teach the resident dog to take orders he was pretty attentive!
I can't praise this restaurant enough! If you are in Queenstown you have to go here. It's possibly my favourite restaurant ever.Danny was a charming, friendly, attentive but not intrusive host. The decor is inviting, with wonderful artwork over the walls. The service was fantastic but most of all the food was out of this world wonderful. I had the scallops as an entree and they were beautifully presented and cooked.I had the pan seared blue cod and everything on my plate was so tasty and perfectly cooked. I rarely finish everything but I couldn't help myself-it was all so good.Interesting wine list too.Do yourself a favour and go here.We ate in a few places in Queenstown but this was by far the most memorable and delicious!
This place is on my top ten list in the world now! We came hear after hiking Routeburn track. Everything in this place is awesome! The decor matches the multi level word play of the restaurant 's name. It is kinky, unusual, original, unexpected, but not overdone fantastic artwork on the walls and everywhere else. The service was excellent: helpful, polite, not rushed and friendly. The food was just fantastic! We had the soup of the day, which was a fusion of Thai and Italian cuisines, a duck and a wild venison. The house red wine (Ausy **** good red) was **** good and a blended white called 'The White ' was excellent as well (similar to Sokol Blosser Evolution). The food was so good that we finished every last piece of it even though we almost never do that. Finally, even if you are sure about what you want for dessert try the Yukkies. They are deliciously addictive.
