Nury's On Main - Fredericksburg

We recently dined at one of the top restaurants in Fredericksburg and were not disappointed. I ordered the fish and chips platter, which had two huge and delicious fillets. My wife tried the shrimp platter, which was equally delicious with large, flavorful shrimp. Both dishes had a light and crispy batter, and the seafood was cooked to perfection. This restaurant is a must-try!

Such good food, incredibly friendly service, and the interior had such a cozy feeling. Its in a very old building that almost looks like a house on the inside; we felt like we were having dinner in somebody’s living room. Loved it! Also, some very unique decor that added extra charm.I ordered carne asada street tacos, which came with homemade tortilla chips and peach ? salsa with a spicy kick. It was legit the best salsa I’ve ever had. The tacos were also amazing so flavorful and juicy. My husband got the fish and chips, which were MASSIVE, and it came with fries. Husband loved it all! There’s some dude on here who posted a 4 star review even though he said the food and service were amazing. Why not 5? Nobody told him how big the fish and chips were. Like come on… .The only pics I took were of a few of the SEVERAL peacock decorations they had. So here they are.

Have had breakfast here and it’s great! However, my lunch experience was not the best. I had the ceviche and it was pretty dry, not super flavorful or juicy like normal for 18 bucks. My friend had the fish tacos and they were good. Was also kind of awkward as the hostess just stood at the podium staring to outer space for most of our meal, could have been more engaged with customers. The salsa was slimy and not that tasty, just didn’t feel worth 8 bucks.

I had the shrimp po boy and fries and it was wonderful. My wife loved the street tacos. Excellent friendly staff. Great experience.

The restaurant has a charming, traditional atmosphere with outstanding service and delicious food. The cozy and welcoming ambiance adds to the overall experience.
