We stumbled across Les Rives du Lac and were pleased with the tasty food and welcoming service. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and was busy with groups of friends and families. Our waiter was very helpful and efficient and the food was good. A lovely dinner!
My choucroute arrived in a warm kilner jar - slightly to my surprise. The contents, however, were a warm wholesome combingation of sausage, bacon, sauerkraut and potatoes. Not cheap at Euros 14.80, but the location, beside the lake is lovely and the service good.
We wanted to eat by the lake and we chose this restaurant. Our waiter was very nice but unfortunately it all went downhill afterward. We ordered the fried fish with fries: the fries were not enjoyable, perhaps the cooking oil had seen to many fries already. As my wife did not enjoy the fish, she ordered a mix salad with crouton and grated cheese. The salad was not much better, industrial grated cheese and industrial salad dressing with hardly any taste.I had an espresso which felt like a water down coffe. The view on the lake is great but you may as well buy a sandwich and sit on a bench that will probably be a more enjoyable experience.
We went here with friends for lunch. The environment was warm and cosy with a log fire roaring away. Service from the young waiter was excellent. The menu is limited but when it came the food was excellent. I had the special burger which was great. Worth a visit :-)
