The Nag's Head Hotel - GLEBE

Excellent food  and the servings were large. The  very friendly service is impeccable. Our only complaints were the rock hard seats (cushions are a  must) and the  air conditioning that was useless in such a large space. Hopefully the new  management will solve  these problems  in due course.

Good enough for a local. Cosy little pub, possibly a little too cosy and hard to move around, especially when the rugby 's on, but a nice atmosphere and friendly staff.<br/ <br/ Agree that the food is way overpriced for what it is, the trick is to have the things that are on special for $10 eg steak tuesday, schnitzel wednesday. My team has a sponsorship deal, $10 for the 'bar food ' and that 's actually reasonable, full price it would be ridiculous. The food is pretty standard pub food, the steak, lamb loin chops, and schnitzel are good options with delicious gravy and chips, some of the others are not so good, like an always dry chicken burger and very heavily battered lime paprika squid.

A Great pub!. After reading the other reviews I really felt the need to defend the Nags Head Hotel. I am a local in the area and although I am surrounded by many pubs and restaurants I believe that the Nag's is head and shoulders above the rest. It is clean and has a great friendly atmosphere. As soon as you walk into the pub you are welcomed with a smile and a greeting. The decor is very traditional and I feel that there aren't enough pubs like this in Sydney. The staff are very friendly and always engage in a conversation. Each time I have been there I have also had the Manager welcome us and thank us for coming along. The food is fantastic. The daily $10 options are amazing value for money and portion sizes are very generous. I have truly enjoyed each time I have been to the pub.
